Doctorate

If you would like to prepare your thesis in one of INSA-Rennes’ laboratories, you can team up with the MathSTIC, the 3M or the SPI schools; both jointly accredited with INSA-Rennes with the right to award Doctor of Science degrees. The laboratories at INSA-Rennes are staffed by teams who assist Ph.D. students throughout their course.

Doctoral schools

Each school brings together, around nationally assessed research units and teams, training courses built around disciplinary or multidisciplinary themes. The INSA Rennes laboratories, real welcome teams, support doctoral students throughout their training.

For Ph.D. students preparing a thesis in Mathematics and Applied Mathematics, Computing, Automation, Robotics, Signal and Image Processing, Electronics and Microelectronics, Optoelectronics and Microwaves, and who are registered at INSA-Rennes, the University of Rennes 1 and ENST Bretagne.

For Ph.D. students preparing a thesis in Physics, Earth Science and the Science of the Universe, Chemistry, the Modern Humanities, Information and Communication Science and Technology, and who are registered at INSA-Rennes, the University of Rennes 1, ENSCR and ENS Rennes.
