The STPI department (1st cycle of studies) provides a common core syllabus to all first and second year students before they go on to join one of the six departments of specialisation.
The scientific part of the syllabus consists of six semesters:

Semester 1 : 320 hrs

Semester 2 : 320 hrs

Semester 3 : 240 hrs

Semester 4 : 210 hrs

Semester 5 : 112 hrs

Semester 6 : 70 hrs
Students benefit from lectures, supervised classwork and practical work with language lab and multi-media centre activities included; the teacher/student ratio is 6:16 (depending on the discipline).
Non-scientific lessons occupy 80 hrs per semester and individual guidance is also offered in the preparation of the student's PPI (Personalised Professional Project).
