The degree courses at the INSA of Rennes are in conformity with the European LMD system (First degree, Master’s, Doctorate) and are organized according to the principle of ECTS credits. This system ensures the academic recognition of the studies followed in a partner establishment, whether in France or abroad. One period of studies in a host establishment thus replaces a comparable period in the establishment of origin, in spite of eventual differences in the programme contents.

ECTS represents, in numerical form, the total amount of work that the student is expected to provide per course unit.
In Europe: one semester = 30 credits
In North America: one semester = 12 credits
